Frequently Asked Questions

  1. How far in advance should we book? 
    As early as possible! Our calendar fills up quickly - we recommend reaching out at least 6 months to 1 year before your wedding date to check our availability. For milestone celebrations at least 4-6 weeks ahead. ​​

     

  2. What is the ordering process? 

    SHARE YOUR VISION 
    Please complete our inquiry form and tell us about your story, style, and inspiration. The more you share, the more personal your cake will feel. We’ll follow up with an estimate.


    BOOKING
    A 50% non-refundable retainer secures your date and is applied to your final invoice.  For orders of $300 or less, full payment is required at the time of invoicing.


    TASTINGS
    Our tasting boxes are $100 and feature all nine signature flavors served as tasting portions or cake jars. Our tasting boxes are available on select dates (January-March, June-July, October-December). Please email us if you prefer scheduling a private tasting at our studio. From there, we talk about your vision for your cake and aim to finalize flavor choices and design details. There is also an option to add a dessert box for $45 and includes one of each flavor.


    CREATE & CELEBRATE
    The final balance as well as final guest count are due one month before your event. We bake and finish your cake fresh in our studio, then personally deliver and style it so all you have to do is enjoy — and save a slice or two for yourselves.

     

  3. How much will my cake cost? 
    Every Sweet Pea cake is custom, with pricing based on size, servings, and design complexity. Starting at $15+ per serving. Final pricing is determined by your cake size and design complexity. 

     

  4. What are your order minimums? Order minimums for delivery (not including delivery fees)​

       MILESTONE CELEBRATIONS   

    Birthdays, Anniversaries, Showers, Corporate Events
    Order minimum: $300 | $500 for delivery
    (Applies to custom celebration cakes and desserts)​

       WEDDINGS & LARGER EVENTS   

    Los Angeles County
    $500 for Thursday & Friday weddings | $1,000 for weekend weddings

    Orange County and Ventura 
    $1000 Thursday-Sunday weddings

    Santa Barbara and Temecula
    $2,000 for weekend weddings | $2,500 for weekend weddings in peak season

     

  5. Do you make gluten free or vegan cakes? 
    Any of our flavors can be made gluten-free for an additional fee. Vegan options are not available at this time as we continue to perfect our recipes to meet our standards of flavor and quality. Please note that we do not make custom flavors.​​

     

  6. Do you deliver? ​We offer delivery throughout Southern California and serve the following counties: Los Angeles, Orange, and Ventura (Thursday to Sunday), and Santa Barbara and Temecula (on weekends only). Delivery and Setup is $50 + $1.50 per round trip mile.​
     

  7. Are you licensed by the state health department?
    Yes, we are a licensed and insured home cottage bakery located in La Cañada Flintridge, CA in Los Angeles County.​
