Meet Melanie
Melanie is the self-taught baker and creative force behind Sweet Pea Cakery LA. What began in 2014 as playful birthday cakes for her children quickly blossomed into a deep passion for crafting custom cakes for weddings and heartfelt celebrations.
What started as a creative outlet in her own kitchen grew into a full-fledged business fueled by word-of-mouth and a loyal following who fell in love with her signature style—romantic, timeless, and thoughtfully detailed. Raised in a family where food was a love language, Melanie learned early on that a shared meal or dessert could be the centerpiece of connection, comfort, and celebration. That same spirit lives on in her own family today, where gatherings are often centered around something homemade and special.
Every cake she creates carries that heritage—rooted in tradition, yet infused with her own artistic flair, so that her clients’ milestones are honored with desserts that are as memorable as the moments they celebrate.
