HOW IT STARTED...
Who would have thought I’d become a cake artist? Growing up in Arizona, I loved working in retail despite the crazy hours and had always thought I’d become a teacher, inspired by how much I admired my 1st and 5th-grade teachers. Baking was a passion too, with fond memories of my mom’s delicious Filipino pastries filling our home.

Fast forward—Life took an unexpected turn when I met my husband, and his job moved us to Hong Kong. At that time, I knew very little about cake decorating, aside from the rustic sheer trend. With some extra time on my hands after work while my husband worked long hours, a friend and I decided to take a basic cake decorating class. We weren’t serious about it at first—we just wanted to do something fun for ourselves, and learn a new skill. But it was during that class that I discovered my true passion.

Primarily self-taught and passionate about pastry, I honed my skills through various pastry classes and online tutorials. After my eldest daughter’s 2nd birthday, I wanted to balance being more present at home with pursuing my cake artistry career. Thanks to my family’s support and encouragement, I’ve managed to turn my passion into a fulfilling career.
"Everything was perfect, we had the best day ever! I can’t get over how beautiful the cake was, and so many people came up to tell us how delicious it was! The berry flavor was so light and summery. We even brought home the leftovers and we ate it again at the family brunch the next day ."
