CONFIRMATION OF ORDERS. Please thoroughly review your final invoice to ensure accuracy in all contact details, personal information, spelling of names, design requests, delivery details, and any requested changes. If you identify any errors, kindly notify Sweet Pea Cakery LA promptly by phone or email.

PAYMENT. A $350 non-refundable "Save The Date" booking fee holds your date on our calendar and will be applied towards your order. Half of the remaining amount owed will be collected as a retainer fee.  This retainer is required to consider this an order and contract for services to be rendered in the Client's behalf. Retainer payment via cash, credit card, or check must be made by the due date listed in the payment schedule below, or contract will be void for non-payment, and the Client will forfeit their $350 reservation fee as well and their saved date on the Sweet Pea calendar.

CANCELLATION and RESCHEDULE. Should you need to reschedule your event due to unforeseen circumstances, please inform us as soon as possible. Rescheduling is contingent upon availability, and though we endeavor to accommodate, additional charges may be incurred for baking another cake or recreating elements. All cancellations or modifications must be conveyed in writing. If your order is cancelled within 10 days of your event, any outstanding balances will become due and payable.

The remaining balance is due three weeks (21 days) prior to the day of the event. Any changes to the design of the cake and/or desserts must be made no later than one month (30 days) prior to your event date. All payments shall follow the amounts and dates listed below:

TASTING BOX & CANCELLATION POLICY. Pickup Orders/Tasting boxes must be picked up at the scheduled time. Failure to do so may result in forfeiture without a refund.

• Cancellations or reschedules must be made at least 72 hours prior to your scheduled tasting or consultation. 

• No-shows or last-minute cancellations are non-refundable; however, you may apply the payment towards a future available date.

 

AUTHORIZATION TO MAKE CHANGES. Only the Client(s) or their designated event planners are authorized to place an order or make alterations to the Agreement. No other individual (e.g., parents, siblings, relatives, friends, etc.) may contact Sweet Pea Cakery LA directly regarding the order unless expressly authorized by the Client(s) in writing.

 

SERVING SIZE. The size of the tiers will be adjusted to accommodate the accurate number of servings based on an industry-standard slice measuring 2" x 1" x 4" to 7" (height). "Tea" slice portions (1"x1"x4") and "Canapé" slice portions (1"x2"x3") can also be provided upon request. Sweet Pea Cakery LA cannot be held responsible for cake shortages resulting from incorrect guest counts or failure to adhere to industry-standard slice sizes.

STYLE & CONSISTENCY. The client has invested significant time in reviewing Sweet Pea Cakery LA's portfolio and expects that the services will be delivered in a similar manner and style, unless specifically stated otherwise in this Agreement. 

 

NON-CONSUMPTION. The client must ensure that all non-edible cake decorations, including hand-molded sugar items, sugar wafer or non-edible florals, rice paper sails, faux spheres, toy toppers, and name/number cake toppers, are solely used for decorative purposes and not meant to be consumed. Although sugar and wafer flowers are made from edible materials, they are not intended for consumption due to the inclusion of wires for strength and flexibility to achieve a natural appearance. It is strongly recommended not to consume any decorations placed on the cake.

 

FRESH FLORALS & BOTANICALS. For food safety and insurance purposes, only Sweet Pea Cakery LA and our team are authorized to decorate the cake. However, we are delighted to collaborate with your florist to arrange for them to supply the florals for the cake ahead of the event.

 

VARIATIONS FROM PICTURED ITEMS. We take pride in our distinctive and exclusive décor style. Please understand that while we welcome pictures or images as inspiration, we may need to adjust colors or vary certain elements from the reference, as we do not replicate the work of other artists.

STORAGE. Since we predominantly use buttercream, it's crucial to store all cakes in refrigerated or air-conditioned environments below 75 degrees Fahrenheit. Also, please ensure that cakes and sugar decorations are shielded from direct sunlight. Neglecting to follow proper storage conditions may result in issues such as color bleeding, frosting bubbles, cracks, or melting.

​​​DELIVERY. Clients are expected to provide precise delivery instructions and inform Sweet Pea Cakery LA of any adverse conditions or obstacles that may affect delivery and the quality of the finished cake(s).

Clients are responsible for ensuring the condition of the cake(s). If a client designates a representative to collect and set up the cake, the client assumes full liability and responsibility.

OUTDOOR DELIVERY DISCLAIMER.

Sweet Pea Cakery LA cannot assume responsibility for the condition of products once they are arranged outdoors. Various factors, including outdoor weather conditions, uneven ground, wind carrying debris, exposure to sunlight, and the presence of insects and wildlife, may affect the integrity of products such as icings, fillings, and cake decorations. It is acknowledged that these products may not endure such conditions and cannot be guaranteed beyond satisfactory delivery.

 

LIABILITY. Sweet Pea Cakery LA bears no responsibility for any damages sustained by the cake after delivery or pickup. The client acknowledges and agrees to provide a suitable and secure environment for the cake.

 

QUALITY & DIETARY RESTRICTIONS. At SweetPea Cakery LA, we hold our products and services to the highest standards and take great pride in their quality. Our ingredients are carefully sourced to maintain these standards. While we take every precaution to prevent cross-contamination, it's important to note that our cakes are prepared in facilities where nuts are present, and traces may occur. Since cakes are perishable items, it's crucial for clients to inform their guests about potential allergens. SweetPea Cakery LA cannot be held responsible for any allergic reactions resulting from the consumption of our products.

CAKEWARE RENTALS. Cake stands and dessert platters are available for hire at $25–$75 per stand/set. A separate invoice will be issued for cakeware rentals, along with a credit card authorization form. A credit card must remain on file to cover any late fees, damages, additional charges, or other incidentals. All rental items must be returned within 72 hours of your event. For example, if your event is on Sunday, 1/1/00, all cakeware must be returned by Wednesday, 1/4/00, no later than 5 PM. A $150 late fee will be applied if items are not returned by agreed date and time.

REFUNDS. Just as each cake is crafted uniquely, we understand that your special requirements and concerns regarding your order may vary. In the event of any issues with your order, please refrigerate or freeze the cake immediately and return it to us on the next business day if we are to consider any refunds at all.

DISCLOSURE OF INFORMATION. Sweet Pea Cakery LA is committed to safeguarding your personal information. We will not disclose any details such as your name, address, email, or telephone number to any external party unless authorized by you or required by law. Additionally, under no circumstances will Sweet Pea Cakery LA engage in the sale or exchange of customer personal information for payments or services with any partner or external entity.
 

AGREEMENT TO TERMS and CONDITIONS. By proceeding with a purchase, you acknowledge and agree to abide by the terms and conditions outlined above.
